Binda Picnic Races

First held in 1848, the Binda Picnic Races are held in March each year at the Funny Hill property - the oldest country race course in Australia.


Punters flock from all over the state to the township of Binda, 20km north of Crookwell on the Bathurst Rd, for a classic country race meet including “Fashions on the Field”.

Please note that there are no bar facilities on site - please no glass.

Gates open 10am with the first race at 12.30pm and the last at 4.45pm

Cost of entry

$30 per person - tickets available at the gate.

Bus packages are available from Crookwell RSL (4832 1265) and Laggan Pub (4837 3208).
