RV Friendly Towns

FAQs and Information

Both Gunning and Bigga have ample parking for large vehicles that is a short walk to the shops and eateries. We are fortunate that the overnight parking locations in both towns are centrally located on or near the main street meaning that there is no need to pack up to obtain supplies.

Both towns offer no cost overnight camping for fully self-contained vehicles including access to toilets, showers and potable water.

Camping in Gunning is allowed for up to 48 hours beside the meandering Meadow Creek at Barbour Park right in the main street of town, a few minutes walk to all facilities.

Camping in Bigga is allowed for up to 72 hours at the Recreation Ground with it’s newly renovated amenities block and ample space just a short walk from the main street.

Both locations offer the perfect base to explore the surrounding region.

With the support of the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia, we are able to provide Dump Ezy points in Gunning, Bigga and Crookwell. The dump point in Bigga is located at the Recreation Ground and the point in Gunning is just across the street from Barbour Park with ample turning space.

The Upper Lachlan region is well served with medical facilities. Gunning boasts both a pharmacy and the Gunning District Community and Health Service. In addition, there are doctors and hospital emergency services in Crookwell, Yass and Goulburn.
