Every third Saturday of the month, (except December and January), the Laggan Memorial Hall hosts the Laggan Village Markets, boasting an astonishing array of goods from home baked cakes to plants and an impressive range of gift items. It’s a wonderful place to meet some local artists and crafts people. Intricate metal sculpture, garden ornaments, custom made signs, ceramics, crochet and knitting, ceramics, leather goods and fine arts are all on offer. Every market is different, but you can always expect the unexpected! Look out for collectables, second hand tools, books and all sorts of pre-loved toys. And foodies will find the selection of home baked bread, cakes and decadently delicious sweets irresistible. You can pick up some local honey, fantastic olive oil and olives, all sorts of jams, jellies, preserves and pickles. There are over 40 stalls at most markets, and the kitchenette area sells beautiful Devonshire teas and offers a place to sit for a while and marvel at the wonderful bargains you’ve scored!
